Totally Remote HR was founded in 2019 by Lindsay Hoag, an HR expert with fifteen years of experience across the private, public and nonprofit sectors. Driven by her passion for building better workplaces, Lindsay started Totally Remote HR to help organizations create strong HR foundations that support growth and long-term success. Over the past six years, she has provided HR consulting to over 14 organizations, both non-profit and for-profit organizations.
Lindsay was previously Chief of Administration for six business lines at State Street Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, and held various Human Resources roles at State Street in Talent Management, Learning & Development and Global HR Policy and Compliance. Prior to joining State Street, Lindsay worked at the Human Resources Policy Institute at Boston University, where she researched the latest developments in human resources and developed executive education programs for Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs) from some of the world's most significant companies. Earlier in her career, Lindsay was a Balanced Scorecard strategy consultant at Palladium Group and served in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic.
Lindsay earned a BA with honors from Wellesley College and an MBA from the Boston University Questrom School of Business.
