Totally Remote HR was founded by Lindsay Hoag, a seasoned leader with fifteen years of experience across the private, public and nonprofit sectors. Lindsay spent 5 years in various human resources leadership positions at Fortune 500 company, State Street Corporation. She loved the fast-paced, ever-changing nature of the work, and the ability to improve the work experience for 40,000+ employees. She was inspired to launch Totally Remote HR in order to help organizations create a solid HR foundation and develop great working environments where employees feel engaged. Most recently, Lindsay was Chief of Administration for six business lines at State Street Corporation. Prior to joining State Street, Lindsay worked at the Human Resources Policy Institute at Boston University, where she researched the latest developments in human resources and developed executive education programs for Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs) from some of the world's most significant companies. Earlier in her career, Lindsay was a Balanced Scorecard strategy consultant at Palladium Group and served in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic. Lindsay earned a BA with honors from Wellesley College and an MBA from the Boston University Questrom School of Business. She lives in Boston, Massachusetts with her husband and two children.
